President Susan White called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM at the DRC Building in Chattanooga, TN. She thanked the attendees for making the conference such an overwhelming success with 35 registered participants. The Chattanooga folks were excellent hosts with special appreciation given to Artie Prichard for her efforts.
Melinda Carroll gave the treasurer’s report with a balance as of 4/18/07. The treasurer’s report was accepted by a voice vote.
There was no secretary’s report from the fall ’06 meeting.
Susan announced that the Fall Conference will be held at the Music Road Hotel in Pigeon Forge, TN. The dates are November 7th – 9th. More information will be posted on the web-site as it becomes available. If members have any suggestions for topics or speakers, please forward the information to one of the officers.
Melinda stated she had received membership dues from two retirees. After some discussion, a motion to amend the TAPP by-laws to allow for honorary membership for retirees was made and seconded. Verbiage from National will be used and presented to the membership for a vote in the fall. Retirees will be listed as active pending approval of the amendment. (see note below)
